ONGC Signs Agreements with Indradhanush Gas For Natural Gas Supply

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Limited has signed three agreements with Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) to connect its natural gas fields in Silchar, Jorhat, and Tripura with North East Gas Grid for the transportation of natural gas.

Silchar natural gas field will evacuate 82,500 Standard Cubic Metres per Day (SCMD) of gas, Jorhat will supply 1,85,000 SCMD and 7,00,000 SCMD will be evacuated from Tripura gas field.

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited will lay a 1,656 Km long natural gas pipeline and connect it with ONGC’s gas fields for further supply. This pipeline will connect capital cities and 8 northeastern states to the gas grid.
