Thermax Subsidiary Wins Rs. 513 Cr. Order from Jindal Energy Botswana

Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Thermax Ltd., has secured a Rs. 513 crore order from Jindal Energy Botswana Pty Ltd. The order entails supply of two boilers, each of 550 Tonnes Per Hour (TPH) capacity.

Scope of work for Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions includes design, engineering, manufacturing and supplying of Circulating Fluidised Bed Combustion (CFBC) boilers for a 600 MW project being developed by Jindal Energy Botswana. This order will support the initial phase of this power plant, which involves establishing a 300 MW power station by Jindal Energy Botswana. Thermax Babcock & Wilcox will also be responsible for testing and commissioning of these boilers.

The project is scheduled to be completed within a timeframe of 23 months.
