Tata Projects Wins Contract for Construction of Noida Airport

Tata Projects Ltd. has won construction contract from Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), the implementing agency for the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar.
Tata Projects takes up Complete EPC for Phase-I of Noida International Airport
YIAPL began its tendering process in April 2021 via two Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) packages for Phase-I of Noida International Airport: Package-1 related to the terminal building’s construction and Package-2 for landside, airside, and associated works.
Tata Projects Ltd. (TPL) won the contract with lowest bid for both the packages competing with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Shapoorji Pallonji (SP).
Phase-I is spread over 1,334 hectares of land and the airport will have a single runway. Phase-I will be built with a handling capacity of 12 million passengers per annum. The estimated cost of Phase-I is Rs. 3,754 crore and the expected completion timeline is by 2024.

So far, YIAPL has completed the construction of 9 Km boundary wall of the 17 Km long boundary wall for Phase 1. YIAPL has also levelled the complete area on which civil construction is to start after awarding this project.
Facilities and features of Noida International Airport in Phase-I
On completion, Phase-I of Noida International Airport will have 10 entry points for domestic passengers and 2 for international passengers. 10 migration desks and 48 checkpoints.
The passenger terminal will have facilities such as short and efficient passenger flows, digital services, and commitment to minimal environmental impact. NIAL will be a digital airport, enabling contactless travel and will also feature personalised services for families, the elderly & business travellers.
There is also plan to build a 2.8 MLD (million litres per day) water treatment plant and a 6.28 MLD sewage treatment plant at Noida International Airport.
