Tata Projects Emerges L1 Bidder for Chennai Metro’s Package for Line 5
Tata Projects Ltd. (TPL) has emerged as Lowest (L1) bidder for Chennai Metro’s Line-5 underground package UG-06 / RT-01 which is approximately 5.8 Km in length. The company has bid Rs. 1,445.98 crore for this package.
Scope of work in this package involves construction of five underground stations, namely, Kolathur, Srinivasa Nagar, Villivakam Suburban Station, Villivakkam bus terminus, and Nathamuni, including, ventilation shafts, plumbing, and architectural finishing of these stations. Construction of twin tunnels from Kolathur to Nathamuni is also included in scope of work of this package.
Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) had floated this tender with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,580 crore and a completion period of 3.8 years (1395 days).
