Tata Power Secures Rs. 1,744 Crore Smart Metering Project in Chhattisgarh

Tata Power has received Letter of Award for smart metering project worth Rs. 1,774 crore in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The company has secured this project from Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd. (CSPDCL).

Scope of work under this project entails design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 18.60 lakh smart meters at Distribution Transformers (DT) level and at consumer end. It also includes Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for this project post-commissioning. This smart metering project will be executed under Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

The tender was floated for three packages for different areas under CSPDCL, and Tata Power emerged as winner for package two.
