Tata Power Renewable Subsidiary Commissions 200 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited’s (TPREL) subsidiary, TP Saurya Limited (TPSL), has successfully commissioned a 200 MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This information was shared by Tata Power in its press release dated April 1st, 2024.

The project will be integrated into the regional grid via the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) Bus. With an estimated annual generation of 485 million units of clean energy, the project is expected to offset over 3,88,000 tonne of Carbon emissions annually.

TP Saurya had secured the order to develop this project in May 2023. This addition brings TPREL’s total renewable energy capacity to 9,018 MW. This includes 4,547 MW of projects currently under development, and an operational capacity of 4,471 MW which comprises 3,444 MW of solar and 1,027 MW of wind power projects.
