Tata Power Renewable Energy Wins 150 MW Solapur Solar Project

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Corporation Limited (MSEDCL) to develop a 150 MW solar power project in Maharashtra’s Solapur. This information was given by Tata Power in its press release dated 9th November 2022.

TPREL won this project through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route. Completion period of this project is 18 months from the date of execution of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

Tata Power further stated that this order win takes TPREL’s renewables capacity to 5,786 MW. This figure includes an installed capacity of 3,877 MW, out of which 2,949 MW is solar power and the rest is wind power.
