Suzlon Wins 69.3 MW Wind Energy Project from Juniper Green Energy

Suzlon Green Energy Ltd. has secured an order to develop a 69.3 MW wind energy project from Juniper Green Energy Private Ltd. This project will be developed in Surendra Nagar district of Gujarat.

Scope of work in this project includes the supply and installation of 22 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) each of 3.15 MW capacity. In addition, this project will also include the development of Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT)* towers on which these WTGs will be mounted. Once commissioned, Suzlon will also provide maintenance services for this project.

This project is expected to be completed in 2024.

*A Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower is used to mount wind turbine generator to the desired height. It consists of three components, namely a lattice tower, transition piece, and the tubular tower. The lattice tower is assembled on-site by welding steel profiles just above the foundation of the HLT tower, while the tubular tower forms the top part of the HLT tower. These two sections of the HLT tower are connected by means of a transition piece.
