Suzlon Group Secures Wind Turbine Contracts for Rajasthan Wind Projects

Suzlon Group has secured contracts to supply wind turbines for two wind energy projects in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan, having a collective power generation capacity of 402 MW. These orders have been secured from Juniper Green Energy Private Ltd.

Under the agreement, Suzlon Group will provide 134 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) for these projects from its S144‐140m series. These turbines have a rated generation capacity of 3 MW each. Each of the turbines will be supplied with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower*. The company will oversee installation and commissioning of these turbines, and will also provide Operation & Maintenance (O&M) services for the projects.

Commenting on these order wins, Mr. JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, said “We are delighted to announce multiple repeat orders with Juniper Group in the last one year”. He added that Suzlon’s “…products customised for the Indian wind regime are manufactured in the country through a thriving domestic value chain ecosystem”.

*A Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower is used to mount wind turbine generator to the desired height.
