Sterlite Power Transmission Ltd. has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the development of ‘transmission system for evacuation of power from Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase III, Part F’. The company has won this project from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).
Scope of work in this project includes establishment of a 350 Km long, 765 KV transmission line connecting REZ of Fatehgarh III to a substation which will be developed at Beawar. This substation will be of 3,000 MVA capacity and step down the voltage from 765 KV to 400 KV. The project comprises two Line In Line Out (LILO) lines of approximately 120 Km in length.
This project is expected to be completed within a period of 35 years.
