Sterlite Power Wins Orders Collectively Worth Rs. 1,500 Cr. in Q1 of FY-25
Sterlite Power has secured orders collectively worth Rs. 1,500 crore in Q1 of FY-25. These orders have been secured by the company’s Global Products and Services (GPS) business. The company’s GPS business deals with manufacturing and supplying of power conductors, cables and Optical Ground Wires (OPGW). In its press release dated 7th August 2024, the company mentioned that these order wins augment Sterlite Power’s order book, which stood at Rs. 6,560 crore at the start of FY-25.
Major orders won by the company during Q1 of FY-25 include those for the supply of conductors and OPGW for transmission projects. These orders have been secured in India as well as overseas. Additionally, Sterlite Power has won orders cumulatively worth Rs. 250 crore to supply Medium Voltage (MV) cables under Indian Government’s ‘disaster management scheme’, in order to improve power availability in disaster-prone areas. “The business has also secured multiple orders in EHV, HV and MV cables category”, added Sterlite Power’s release. Another major order won by the company in Q1 of FY-25 is for reconductoring two 66 KV transmission lines using high-performance conductors for Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO).
Commenting on these order wins, Mr. Reshu Madan, CEO, Global Products and Services, said “These new orders, spanning various segments, reflect the materialising of our strategic business growth goals and the increasing demand for our products both domestically and internationally”.
