Adani Group to Invest Rs. 10,000 Cr. in Ahmedabad Airport in Four Years

Adani Group will be investing Rs. 10,000 crore in the expansion of Ahmedabad Airport between 2023 and 2027.

This investment will be towards expanding the airport’s passenger handling capacity from the current 80 lakh passengers per annum to 2.8 crore passengers per annum by 2027. The expansion will entail construction of an integrated cargo terminal at the airport. Moreover, commercial space in the airport will be expanded from 2,000 sq. metre to 9,000 sq. metre by 2025 to enhance revenue.

As per Adani Group, this expansion could make Ahmedabad a regional hub, which will be connected to other regional airports, including Bhuj, Bhavnagar, Kandla, Jamnagar, etc.
