Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy Wins Rs. 550 Cr. Solar EPC Order
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has secured an order for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) works on a 400 MW solar plant in Rajasthan from ‘a leading private renewable IPP [Independent Power Producer] in India’. As per SWREL’s stock filing dated 11th August 2024, this order has been valued at over Rs. 550 crore.
Scope of work in this project includes engineering and design of a 400 MW solar power plant in Rajasthan, followed by its subsequent testing and commissioning. The company will also develop a 33/220 KV switchyard at this solar plant in order to facilitate the supply of generated power further.
Commenting on this order win, Mr. Amit Jain, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said “With this order win, SWREL has now achieved around Rs. 900 crore of domestic order inflows in the second quarter of FY25. This is in addition to the order inflow of approximately Rs. 2,170 crore seen in the first quarter”.
In July 2024, Sterling and Wilson had secured two orders collectively worth Rs. 328 crore, which included an order to develop a floating solar project in Karnataka.
