Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy wins Two Orders Collectively Worth 328 Cr.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd. has secured two orders collectively worth Rs. 328 crore. As per the company’s press release dated 26th July 2024, these orders have been secured from the same client.
One of these orders is for developing a 1,000 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) plant in Rajasthan, India. Scope of work in this project entails engineering, designing, testing, and commissioning the BESS plant. According to the stock filing, this will be India’s largest BESS project, with an expected completion date by 2025.
The second order, secured by Sterling & Wilson Renewable Energy, is for developing a 20 MW floating solar project in Karnataka.
Commenting on this order win, Mr. Amit Jain, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said “As we have seen during the course of last 12 to 18 months, there have been multiple tenders, bids, and projects for either standalone Storage or Hybrid (Renewable + Storage) in India, making it a very important step for us as a Company and for the nation to move towards firm dispatchable renewable power”.
