Steel Giant JSW in talks for Covid-19 Vaccine for 25k employees, their families

JSW Group, the Indian conglomerate with businesses in Steel, Energy, Cement, Infrastructure etc. sectors is in talks with pharmaceutical companies making Covid-19 vaccines as reported by moneycontrol. It is looking to procure 2 lakh to 3 lakh doses for its 25,000 employees and their families.

Serum Institute has kept its vaccine prices at INR 200 but has also declared that in retail it could be higher which is expected to be around INR 1000. Other than Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech two more companies are in different stages of conducting trials. These include Russia’s Sputnik vaccine that will be distributed by Dr Reddy’s Lab in India, and Zydus Cadila, which recently got the nod for third phase trials.
