SJVNL Inks MoU With IBN for Lower Arun Hydro Electric Project in Nepal
The Investment Board Nepal (IBN) and India’s state-owned SJVNL* have signed an MoU to develop 679 MW Lower Arun Hydroelectric Project located in Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur districts of Nepal.
SJVNL has won Lower Arun Hydroelectric Project through international competitive bidding and has been allocated for 25 years on a build, own, operate, transfer (BOOT) basis. The run-of-the-river project will house four Francis-type turbines. The project is scheduled to be completed in four years after the commencement of construction activities.
