JSW Energy’s Karcham Wangtoo Hydro Power Plant to be Uprated to 1091 MW

Karcham Wangtoo Hydroelectric Plant, located in Kinnaur District of Himachal Pradesh, India has got the permit from Central Electricity Authority (CEA) for uprating its capacity from 1,000 MW to 1,091 MW. The plant is owned by JSW Hydro Energy.

The capacity will be increased from 1,000 MW to 1,091 MW in a phased manner, under phase -I 1,000 MW shall be increased to 1,045 MW and in the next phase 1,045 MW to 1,091 MW.
