SJVN Secures Order for 90 MW Floating Solar Project worth Rs 585 Crore

Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) won a contract for developing a 90 MW floating solar project in Madhya Pradesh’s Omkareshwar. Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL) had floated the tender for this project, which is to be developed on Build Own Operate (BOO) basis. SJVN won the contract with a quoted tariff of Rs 3.26 per unit under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) system.

This project will be built in the country’s largest floating Solar Park. The project will generate 219 Million Units in the first year of commissioning. In total, approximately 5,158 Million Units of solar power will be generated by this project in 25 years, for which Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been signed between SJVN and Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd.
