SiCSem to Set-Up Rs. 2,500 Cr. Semiconductor Plant in Odisha

SiCSem Private Ltd. will be investing Rs. 2,500 crore for setting up a semiconductor manufacturing plant in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

SiCSem’s upcoming plant will cater to complete process of manufacturing semiconductor devices. The company will handle everything from sourcing raw materials to processing silicon carbide crystals, slicing wafers and assembling the final product in the new plant.

Odisha government has allocated 14.32 acres of land at infovalley-II for this project. Infovalley-II is an electronics manufacturing cluster in Bhubaneswar.

The electronic power devices manufactured at SiCSem’s plant will cater to various sectors such as Electric Vehicles (EVs), energy storage, fast chargers, green energy, industrial tools, data centers, and consumer appliances.
