SECI Floats Tender to Develop 500 MW of ISTS-Connected Wind Projects in India

SECI has floated a tender for the development of 500 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) -connected wind power projects in India. These projects will be developed under Tranche-XVII of the scheme titled “Setting up of 500 MW ISTS-connected Wind Power Projects in India under Tariff-based Competitive Bidding.”

Scope of work for successful bidders involves land identification and establishing necessary transmission network to supply the power generated from these projects to SECI. Obtaining subsequent approvals and securing connection of the projects to Inter-state Transmission System (ISTS) network, State Transmission Utility (STU), or Intra-State Transmission (InSTS) Network also fall under scope of work of the successful bidder. The wind turbines that will be deployed in these projects must be in Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM).

The bids for this tender must be submitted for a minimum capacity of 50 MW and maximum capacity of 250 MW.

Last date to submit bids for this tender is 8th July 2024.
