Rs 210 Crore Transmission Project, Western Region Expansion Scheme XXV Gets NCT Approval
Western Region Expansion Scheme – XXV (WRES – XXV), has been approved by National Committee on Transmission (NCT) to be implemented under the regulated tariff mechanism (RTM) mode. This Rs 210 core project is a part of ‘ISTS Network Expansion beyond Kolhapur for export of surplus power during High RE scenario in Southern Region’ scheme. The project has a completion deadline of 15 months.
Scope of this project includes expansion of transformation capacity at Raigarh (Kotra), Chhatisgarh by 1x1500MVA, 765/400KV Inter-Connecting Transformer (ICT) at Section-A (3rd ICT on Section A), and by 2x1500MVA, 765/400KV ICTs at Section-B (3rd and 4th ICTs on Section B), along with associated ICT bays.
