ABB India, a major manufacturer of electrical products has launched eMart, an e-commerce portal in India to sell Low Voltage (LV) AC motors online. Now ABB’s customers across India can order from its range of LV motors with easy delivery options and secured payment gateways. Initially, ABB’s Motion business will be listing LV motors up to 75 KW and would be handling delivery via channel partners across India.

It is an attempt by ABB to utilize the vast reach and rapid growth of e-commerce market in India. It is one of a kind attempt by any big electrical manufacturer to sell small and mid-size machinery online in India.
Expressing his views on the occasion Mr. Sanjeev Arora, President, Motion business, ABB India said “Our team has conducted in-depth research to understand the pulse of the market and we strongly believe that our platform will cater to the evolving needs of the customers. The launch of industrial motors on eMart – our e-commerce platform is our step towards writing the future of digital business with the forthcoming B2B e-commerce revolution in India”.
Features of ABB’s LV Motor Portal – eMart
The online portal provides detailed product specifications and photographs for each item. Customers can also post their specific requirement for products that are not listed on the portal. The company aims to use these insights to expand its product portfolio on the platform.
When explored by CableCommunity.com team, the portal has now listed motors starting from about INR 6,056 along with some accessories like push buttons, sockets, switches and MCB’s.
Browsing and Payment Method
eMart is available as a sub domain of main ABB website on desktop and mobile browsers. It supports secure payment methods including net banking, e-Wallets, and UPI, also abiding by General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in terms of customer data.
