RR Kabel’s Q3 FY25 Top Line 9% Up YoY, Exports Contribute 27% to Revenue

RR Kabel [NSE: RRKABEL], an Indian manufacturer of wires, cables and Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG), has announced its financial results for Q3 of FY-25.

During Q3 of FY-25, RR Kabel reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 1,782.15 crore and a Profit After Tax of Rs. 68.14 crore.

YoY Analysis of RR Kabel Financials: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q3 FY-24

The company reported a consolidated revenue of Rs. 1,782.15 crore from operations during Q3 of FY-25 as compared to Rs. 1,633.52 crore revenue during Q3 of FY-24. This represents a Year-over-Year (YoY) growth of 9.10% in the company’s revenue. As per the company’s investor presentation for its Q3 FY-25 financials, RR Kabel generated 27% of its revenue from exports.
Despite the increase in revenue, the company’s PAT fell slightly by 3.37% YoY to Rs. 68.57 crore during Q3 FY-25 from Rs. 70.96 crore in Q3 FY-24.
RR Kabel’s Earning Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 6.07 during Q3 FY-25 against Rs. 6.35 during Q3 FY-24.

Commenting on the financial results, Mr. Shreegopal Kabra, Managing Director of RR Kabel said that there was moderate volume growth in the Wires & Cables business, while the FMEG segment recorded solid revenue performance, driven by robust volume growth and an improved product mix.
QoQ Results Comparison of RR Kabel: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-25
On Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, the company’s revenue remained almost flat by decreasing from Rs. 1,810.14 crore during Q2 of FY-25, representing a slight fall of 1.55%. However, RR Kabel’s PAT increased QoQ by 38.44% from Rs. 49.53 crore profit during Q2 of FY-25.

Wires & Cables: The company’s revenue from this segment increased to Rs. 1,542.53 crore during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 1,433.09 crore in Q3 of FY-24. This increase in numbers showed a YoY growth of 7.64% in the company’s quarterly Wires & Cables segment revenue.
RR Kabel generated 86.55% of gross revenue* from Wires & Cables business segment
*Gross revenue refers to the sum of segmental revenues before the deduction of inter-segmental revenue.
The company’s products under this segment include house wires, industrial wires, power cables & special cables.
According to RR Kabel, the company is one of India’s largest exporters of wires and cables with approximately 10% share in India’s total wire and cable exports for FY-24.
FMEG: This segment of the company contributed Rs. 239.62 crore to the company’s total revenue during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 200.46 crore in Q3 of FY-24. This shows a growth of 19.54% on YoY basis.
The company has its Fast Moving Electrical Goods manufacturing plants in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Bengaluru, Karnataka and Gagret, Himachal Pradesh. RR Kabel’s FMEG products include fans, switches, switchgear and other appliances.
RR Kabel CapEx to Increase Production Capacities
RR Kabel mentioned in its annual report for FY24 that the company had planned a CapEx of Rs. 500 crore to be used over the course of FY-24 and FY-25. This investment was to be directed towards increasing wire and cable production capacities at RR Kabel’s manufacturing plants. The company has two plants for wire and cable manufacturing, one of which is in Silvassa and the other is in Waghodia.
Out of the total investment of Rs. 500 crore, RR Kabel was to invest Rs. 200 crore during FY-24 and the remaining Rs. 300 crore during the course of FY-25. However details about the utilisation of this amount are currently not available.
