Priya Ranjan Appointed Director-in-Charge at SAIL’s Bokaro Steel Plant
Mr. Priya Ranjan has been appointed as Director-in-Charge of Steel Authority of India Limited’s (SAIL) Bokaro Steel Plant. The company shared this information through a stock exchange filing dated 24th December 2025.
SAIL’s newly appointed Director-in-Charge completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Metallurgical Engineering) from BIT Sindri in 1992. He later earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad.
Mr. Ranjan brings over three decades of experience with SAIL and has held several senior leadership positions during his tenure. He began his professional career in the non-ferrous industry, working in the copper and copper alloys sector in Mumbai for nearly two years. He joined SAIL in 1994 as a Junior Manager in the Steel Melting Shop at IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur, West Bengal.
Over the years, he has served in various key roles, including Executive Director (Operations) at SAIL’s Corporate Office in New Delhi. Additionally, during his seven-year tenure at the Chairman and Managing Director’s Office, he was entrusted with overseeing operations across all SAIL steel plants.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ranjan has made significant contributions to steelmaking processes, plant operations, and overall organizational efficiency.
