POWERGRID Wins Interstate Transmission System Project in Rajasthan
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID) has won an Interstate Transmission System (ISTS) project for the ‘evacuation of power from Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase III, Part F’. The company received Letter of Intent (LoI) for this project on 11th September 2023 under Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB).
Scope of work in this project comprises establishment of a 765/400KV substation with Static synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) at Ramgarh. Development of a 765KV transmission line and related bay extension works at another existing substation in Rajasthan is also included in the scope of work of the project.
This project will be developed on Build, Own Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis.
