Tata Power Solar to Raise USD 425 Mn for its Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility in Tamil Nadu

Tata Power Solar Ltd. (TP Solar) will raise about USD 425 million (approximately Rs. 3,485 crore) from U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) for its solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

In a press release dated 11th September 2023, TP Solar stated that US DFC’s Board of Directors has approved the aforementioned investment for its upcoming 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing facility. This upcoming facility will create employment opportunities for about 2,000 people.
