Polycab India Appoints Mr. Shashi Amin as Director and CEO
Polycab India Ltd. has appointed Mr. Shashi Amin, former Vice President of Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA), as Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for B2B channel & Corporate Communication. Mr. Amin served as the President of IEEMA for a period of four months (September 2025 to December 2025) before joining this position in Polycab. IEEMA is the apex association representing the electrical, industrial electronics, and allied equipment industry in India.
Mr. Amin’s Long-Standing Professional Journey with Polycab
Mr. Amin has an extensive background in the cable business. During his career of over 37 years, he worked the longest with Polycab India. He first joined Polycab India as its General Manager in March 1996.
In 2011, Mr. Shashi Amin became Vice President (Sales) of Polycab India and served in this position for nearly 5 years. After that, he was promoted to the position of President and Strategic Business Unit (SBU) head for Cables business in June 2016. Before his current appointment at Polycab, Mr. Amin held the position of Executive President and Chief Business Officer (CBO) from July 2020 to March 2022.
Now, as Polycab’s Director and CEO, Mr. Amin will strengthen the company’s B2B channel & Corporate Communication.
A Diverse & Extensive Work Portfolio with Major Companies
Apart from Polycab, Mr. Amin has imparted his expertise to several companies, including APAR Industries Ltd., Nicco Corporation Ltd., Arc Electrics Pvt. Ltd., and a Middle East-based company, BICC MET in Bahrain.
His earliest job was at Nicco Corporation, where he served as Senior Manager for over 7 years. Mr. Amin served as Sales Manager of BICC MET from February 1999 to July 2000, where he was responsible for the sales of Ducab and BICC cables, wires, and accessories. At Arc Electrics Pvt. Ltd., he was serving as the company’s Director for over 6 years.
Furthermore, one of Mr. Amin’s major positions was at APAR, where he served as the company’s CEO for Cable Solutions. He worked at APAR for a duration of almost four years.
Shashi Amin’s Educational Background
Mr. Amin is an Electrical engineer who completed his B.Tech in 1988 from S.S.G.M. College of Engineering in Maharashtra. He went on to complete his Master’s in Marketing Management from Welingkar Institute of Management in 1993.
