Orient Electric Q3 FY-25 Revenue Up 9% YoY, PAT Grows to Rs. 27 Cr.

On an Year-over-Year (YoY) basis, the company’s top line jumped by 8.63% to Rs. 816.82 crore during Q3 FY-25 from its Rs. 751.93 crore revenue, clocked for Q3 of FY-24. Orient Electric’s Q3 PAT increased by 11.67% YoY to Rs. 27.17 crore in FY-25 from Rs. 24.33 crore in FY-24.

Commenting on the company’s financial performance, Mr. Ravindra Singh Negi, MD & CEO of Orient Electric Limited, said “This performance underscores the positive impact of our focused execution strategy and improved operating leverage. Our consistent focus on premiumisation, operational efficiency, and innovative product offerings is yielding positive results”.

Earning Per Share (EPS) of the company was Rs. 1.27 during Q3 of FY-25 and Rs. 1.14 during Q3 of FY-24.

QoQ Analysis of Orient Electric’s Financial Results: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-25

Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ), Orient’s revenue from operations grew by 23.73% from Rs. 660.15 crore, which was logged during Q2 of FY-25. Orient Electric’s PAT exhibited remarkable growth QoQ, with Q3 profit rocketing to 2.60 times of the company’s Q2 PAT in FY-25. Orient’s Q2 FY-25 PAT stood at Rs. 10.44 crore.

Electrical Consumer Durables: The company’s quarterly revenue from this segment jumped to Rs. 574.33 crore during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 535.20 crore in Q3 of FY-24. This showed a YoY growth of 7.31% in the company’s quarterly ECD segment revenue.

Orient Electric mentioned in its investor presentation for Q3 FY-25 financial results its fans sub-segment witnessed high single-digit growth chiefly due to sale of premium products and decorative fans. The company further added that new product launches in the ECD segment have shown a positive market response during Q3 FY-25. These new product launches include Aerosense IOT Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) Pro fans, Aeroslim – Dune Gold fans, Optimo Air Cooler and Crysta Water Heater.

Lighting & Switchgear: The Lighting & Switchgear segment of the company contributed Rs. 242.49 crore to the company’s total revenue during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 216.73 crore in Q3 of FY-24. This shows an increase of 11.89% in the company’s Lighting & Switchgear segment revenue on YoY basis.

The company mentioned in its investor presentation that consumer lighting registered high double-digit volume growth during Q3 of FY-25. Orient Electric further mentioned that the growth in this segment was driven by expansion of its partner network and new product launches. New product launches in Orient’s Lighting segment include Blaze Spot Light, Laser Linear, and Grace Delite Plus.

Switchgear sub-segment of the company also witnessed double-digit growth. Orient Electric further mentioned that the company has increased its retailer network to over 11,000 retailers across the country.

Board of Directors Recommends Q3 FY-25 Dividend to Shareholders

During Orient Electric’s Board meeting held on 29th January 2025, the company’s Board of Directors has recommended paying a dividend of Rs. 0.75 for Q3 of FY-25 to the company’s shareholders. This dividend will be paid at the face value of Re. 1.
