Ola Electric Develops Indigenous Lithium-ion Cell Battery for EVs
Ola Electric, the Bengaluru-based Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing firm, showcased its indigenously developed Lithium-ion (Li-ion) cell battery on 12th July 2022 for use in EVs.
As per the company, its Li-ion battery has been designed keeping in mind the conditions of operation in India. Ola Electric will also be recruiting around 500 experts for its battery R&D.
Ola Electric’s bid to set up a 20 GWh Battery manufacturing capacity was accepted in March 2022 under the Centre’s PLI scheme titled ‘National Programme on Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) Battery Storage’.
