Solarworld Energy Solutions Secures EPC Solar Order worth Rs. 690 Cr. from SJVN
Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has awarded an EPC contract worth Rs. 690.75 crore to Delhi-based Solarworld Energy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for building two solar projects in Uttar Pradesh.
These projects together will have a generation capacity of 125 MW. One of these projects is a 75 MW solar project at Gurah, Jalaun, while the other is a 50 MW project at Gujrai, Kanpur Dehat. Contract value for the former project is Rs 410.75 crore, while for the latter is Rs 280 crore. These projects are planned to be commissioned by April 2023.
Post-commissioning and hand-over, Solarworld Energy Solutions will undertake Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for two years.
SJVN has secured these projects from Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA) through the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route with a quoted tariff of Rs 2.98 per KWh. Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) will procure the power from these projects for a period of 25 years.
