NTPC Renewable Wins LoA to Develop 550 MW Solar Power Capacity

NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd. (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd., has received a Letter of Award from REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) for developing 550 MW solar power capacity. This 550 MW solar power plant will be developed by NTPC REL at an estimated cost of Rs. 2,800 crore.

NTPC REL had won this project in RECPDCL’s 1,250 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-Connected solar tender by quoting a tariff rate of Rs. 2.56/KWh. This project is expected to be completed in a period of 18 months.
