KEI Industries FY 22 Financial Results: Total Income Up 37%, Profit Up 39% YoY

KEI Industries Ltd. [NSE: KEI, BOM: 517569], the Indian Wire and Cable Company, has announced its quarterly financials for Q4 FY-22.

KEI reported a total income of Rs 1,799.53 crore and a net profit of Rs 115.98 crore in the quarter ended 31st March 2022. While total income of the company showed a 44.1% increase, net profit also went up by 34.57% during Q4 FY22 in comparison to Q4 of FY-21.
For the entire fiscal year / FY22, KEI’s total income went up by 36.64% to Rs 5,741.14 crore from Rs 4,201.59 crore logged in FY-21.

Net Profit clocked for 2021-22 was Rs 376.01 crore, higher by 39.44% than the company’s net profit of Rs 269.64 crore during FY-21.

KEI’s total income for Q4 of FY-22 showed a 14.94% increase to Rs 1,799.53 crore from Rs 1,565.55 crore recorded for the third quarter of the same fiscal year.
Net profit of the company rose by 14.58% to Rs 115.98 crore during Q4 FY-22 against a net profit of Rs 101.22 crore for Q3 of the same fiscal.

Cables: KEI’s cables segment saw a Y-o-Y increase of 51.89% in revenue to Rs 1,621.35 crore during the fourth quarter of FY-22 from Rs 1,067.45 crore for Q4 of FY-21. Q4 FY-22 cables segment revenue was 15.34% higher than that recorded in Q3 of the same fiscal.
For the whole year, FY 22 revenue from Cables segment was Rs 5,122.68 crore, 43.32% higher than Rs 3,574.26 crore recorded for FY-21.
Stainless Steel Wire Business: The company saw a Y-o-Y revenue increase of 32.53% to Rs 61.18 crore in Q4 of FY-22 against Rs 46.16 crore during the fourth quarter of FY-21. KEI’s revenue from this segment for Q4 of 2021-2022 was 6.16% lower than Rs 65.20 crore reported in Q3 of the same financial year.
For the whole of FY-22, the revenue generated by Stainless Steel Wire business was Rs 225.93 crore, which is 59.49% higher than Rs 141.65 crore revenue for FY-21.
EPC Projects: KEI’s EPC business saw a Y-o-Y decline of 16.28% to Rs 217.44 crore for Q4 of FY-22, compared to Rs 259.74 crore during the corresponding quarter in FY-21. Quarter-wise comparison reveals a decrease of 10.44% in revenue from this section from Rs 242.79 crore reported for Q3 of FY-22.
During FY-22, the company recorded a revenue of Rs 873.48 crore from EPC projects, which is 10.56% lower than KEI’s Rs 976.69 crore EPC revenue for FY-21.
