NTPC GE Power Services Wins Contracts for 325 MW Solar Projects in Madhya Pradesh
NTPC GE Power Services Pvt. Ltd. (NGSL) has secured contracts for building Balance of Systems (BOS) for 325 MW capacity solar projects at Shajapur Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. In a solar project, BOS refers to all the components of the project except for Photovoltaic (PV) panels.
NGSL, which is a joint venture between NTPC and GE Power Systems GmbH, has secured two EPC contracts from NTPC’s Renewable Energy arm, NTPC-Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC-REL). These contracts are for two solar projects within the Shajapur Solar Park, one of 105 MW generation capacity while the other of 220 MW generation capacity. The contracts also include operation and maintenance (O&M) of the projects for a period of three years.
These projects are being developed at Shajapur by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar (RUMSL) to supply solar power to the Indian Railways and to the national grid.
