NHAI Invites Bids for Rs. 1,269 Crore Four-Laning Project in Bihar

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for the four-laning of a 44.8 Km long section of NH-139W in Bihar. The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 1,269.01 crore.

Scope of work of this project involves constructing and upgrading the existing 44.8 Km long road connecting Manikpur to Sahebganj. The last date to submit bids for this project is 19th September 2022.

This project comes under Bharatmala Pariyojana, and it will be developed in Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM)*.

*Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) refers to a mode of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) wherein the government and the private player share the project expenses in a 40:60 ratio respectively. After the private player develops the project, it is handed over to the government. The government pays a fixed annuity to the private player for a certain amount of time as defined in the contract.
