Adani Purchases 400 MHz 5G Spectrum Worth 212 Crore for Captive Usage
Adani Data Networks Ltd., a part of the Adani Group, has purchased 400 MHz airwaves in the recent 5G spectrum auction worth Rs. 212 Crore. The company has bought these airwaves for Adani Group’s own usage in the service areas of Mumbai, Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
Adani Data Networks stated that these airwaves will be used to digitise its infrastructure, primary industry and B2C business through a unified digital platform. Adani will thus integrate its digital infrastructure, which consists of industrial cloud, data centres, terrestrial fibre and submarine cables, cybersecurity, SuperApps and AI innovation labs.
Adani Group sees this purchase as a way to provide better cyber-security measures and integrated digital solutions for its ports and logistics, and airports. This digitisation shall also cater to Adani Group’s generation, manufacturing and distribution operations.
