Inox Wind Secures NTPC Renewable Energy’s 200 MW Wind Project in Gujarat
Noida-based Inox Wind has secured a 200 MW Wind Power Project from NTPC Renewable Energy. This project will be set up at Dayapar in the Kutch District of Gujarat, and is expected to be commissioned by January 2024.
This project will be developed by Inox Wind on a turnkey basis. The company will supply and install its Double-Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) DF 113/92, which has a capacity of 2 MW. These wind turbine generators have rotor length of 113 metre and a hub height of 92 metre. Hub height refers to the distance from the ground to the centre of the turbine rotor.
Talking about Inox Wind’s order win, Kailash Tarachandani, CEO of Inox Wind said that this 200 MW project is the second wind project that the company has secured from NTPC recently. Earlier in November 2021, Inox Wind had won a 150 MW wind power project from NTPC.
