NHAI Floats Tender for Rs. 1,143 Cr. Highway Project in Bihar
National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has invited bids for four-laning of the existing Suara -Garhani section of NH-119. This project will be executed under Package-I of Patna-Arrah-Sasaram Highway in Bihar. The estimated cost of this project has been pegged at Rs. 1,143.36 crore.
Scope of work as per the tender includes four-laning of existing 74.432 Km long stretch of highway connecting Suara to Garhani. This project will be executed in Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)*. Last date to submit bids for this tender is 20th September 2023.
*Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) refers to a mode of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) wherein the government and the private player share the project expenses in a 40:60 ratio respectively. After the private player develops the project, it is handed over to the government. The government pays a fixed annuity to the private player for a certain amount of time as defined in the contract.
