NHAI Floats Rs. 1,269 Cr. Tender for Development of 6-Lane Highway in Maharashtra

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has floated a tender for execution of package-IX of Surat – Solapur Economic Corridor. This 6-lane access controlled highway will be developed under Hybrid Annuity Model* (HAM) at an estimated cost of Rs. 1,269.03 crore.

Scope of work in this tender includes construction of a greenfield 6-lane highway from Shiral village to Chinchpur village in Maharashtra. This constitutes a 39.50 Km section of the Surat – Solapur Economic Corridor in the state. This project will be executed as a part of Bharatmala Pariyojana.

Last date to submit bids for this tender is 11th June 2024.

Earlier in February 2024, NHAI had floated a tender for developing package VI of the Surat – Nashik – Ahmednagar – Solapur Economic Corridor, connecting Chincholi Gurav to Momin Akhada.

*Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) refers to a mode of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) wherein the government and the private player share the project expenses in a 40:60 ratio respectively. After the private player develops the project, it is handed over to the government. The government pays a fixed annuity to the private player for a certain amount of time as defined in the contract.
