Maruti Suzuki India Plans to Up Vehicle Capacity by 2.5 lakhs

Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) has planned to add 2.50 lakh unit vehicle capacity at its plant in Naviyani, Surendranagar District of Gujarat from 1st April 2021.

Naviyani facility in Gujarat is the subsidiary of Suzuki Japan, with a capacity of 5 lakh per annum. It produces Baleno (Glanza for Toyota) and Swift.

Expansion facility will produce another model and not produce diesel or electric vehicles as mentioned in Hindu Businessline dated 29th December 2020. Apart from Naviyani facility, Maruti has 15 lakh unit capacity at its plants in Haryana.
