L&T’s Water & Effluent Treatment Business Secures Orders Worth Rs. 2,500-5,000 Cr.
L&T Construction’s Water & Effluent Treatment business has secured multiple orders with an aggregate value ranging between Rs. 2,500 crore and Rs. 5,000 crore. The company shared this information in a press release dated 17th July 2023.
L&T Construction has won an order from Uttar Pradesh State Water & Sanitation Mission to construct water supply system for Hanumanganj multi-group of villages, which are situated in Ballia and Firozabad.
Scope of work entails design and construction of a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) of 148 Million Litres per Day (MLD) capacity with the associated water intake structure. Apart from this, 13 clear water reservoirs with a cumulative capacity of 25 Million Litre (ML), and 504 overhead service reservoirs having a collective capacity of 115.4 ML will also be constructed as per the contract.
Further, 13 pumphouses and about 3.81 lakh house connections will be established. Allied electromechanical and instrumentation works will also be covered under this order. Once commissioned, 10 years of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) will be offered by L&T Construction for the project through the use of SCADA.
Additionally, the company has secured an order from NTPC for the development of make-up water system and Ash Disposal cum Ash Water Recirculation System (AWRS) at Talcher Thermal Power Plant. The scope of work in this order includes design, engineering, supply, and construction of the aforementioned systems at Talcher. Further, their testing & commissioning is also part of NTPC’s order.
