L&T to Invest USD 2.5 Billion in Green Energy in the next 3-4 Years

Larsen and Toubro is planning to invest about USD 2.5 billion (approximately Rs. 19,973 crore) in the area of green energy and related EPC works in the coming three to four years. This information was given by Mr. Subramanian Sarma, Senior Executive Vice-President (Energy) at L&T.

The company will be investing this amount in the production of green hydrogen and the manufacture of associated equipment like electrolysers, storage batteries and fuel cells. L&T will also spend this amount on setting up wind and solar energy projects. In addition to this, the Indian EPC major will be manufacturing and supplying equipment for offshore wind projects. These would include towers and other wind farm equipment excluding windmill blades.
