L&T Declared the L1 Bidder for MMRDA Bridge Contract

Indian EPC major Larsen & Toubro has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority’s (MMRDA) Nariman Point – Cuffe Parade Bridge contract. L&T had placed a bid of Rs. 316 crore for this contract.

Scope of work in this contract entails the design and construction of a greenfield four-laned bridge connecting Nariman Point to Colaba Cuffe Parade on an EPC basis. The length of this bridge will be about 1.77 Km, connecting Marine Drive with Captain Prakash Pethe Marg.

MMRDA had mentioned the estimated cost of the project as Rs. 315 crore, with a completion period of 30 months.

The L2 bidder for this contract is J Kumar Infraprojects, which had placed a bid of Rs. 317 crore.
