LAPP Expands its Polyamide Cable Gland Range with SKINTOP SMART Glands
LAPP India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian arm of Germany-based LAPP Gruppe, has launched its new range of cable glands, branded as SKINTOP SMART. This range of cable glands expand the company’s already extensive cable gland offerings.
SKINTOP SMART glands were launched in a pan-India campaign, which was marked by events in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune and Bengaluru.
SKINTOP SMART Feature Polyamide Body, IP68 Protection
LAPP’s SKINTOP SMART cable glands are made of Polyamide, which is superior to PVC cable glands available in the market. They are available in three colours, namely light grey, silver grey, and black.
SKINTOP SMART glands offer IP68 protection, representing their durability and resistance to corrosion. These glands are Underwriters Laboratory (UL) recognised, and tested according to EN 60529 (IEC 60529) standard.
Available in M12 to M32 Size Range, Designed for Easy Installation
LAPP’s SKINTOP SMART glands are available in clamping sizes ranging from M12 to M32 and PG7 to PG29. These glands have been designed for easy installation in compact spaces and can find application in junction boxes, control panels, limit switches, and more.
LAPP to Produce SKINTOP SMART Cable Glands in Dharuhera
During the company’s launch event in Bengaluru, Mr. Sumit Mitra, Managing Director of LAPP India shared that LAPP’s SKINTOP SMART cable glands will be produced in its facility loacted in Dharuhera, Haryana.
LAPP highlighted that local manufacturing of these glands will enable their faster availability to customers.
Mr. Sumit Mitra added, “SKINTOP SMART is an extension of our product portfolio in India where we are focusing on providing end-to-end connectivity solutions to our customers”.
LAPP’s Extensive Range of Polyamide Cable Glands
SKINTOP SMART range is an addition to LAPP’s already existing range of Polyamide glands. Apart from SKINTOP SMART, LAPP offers Polyamide glands in SKINTOP ST and STR ranges. These glands are available in clamping sizes from M12 to M63, and PG7 to PG43, and offer IP68 rated ingress protection.
LAPP’s Polyamide cable glands are suited for installation even in harsh environments, and offer flame resistance up to 650 degrees Celsius. They can withstand prolonged UV exposure, harsh chemicals, and Ozone exposure.
