KEI Q3 FY25 Financials: Revenue up 20%, LT Cables Drive Sales

KEI Industries Ltd. [NSE: KEI, BOM: 517569], an Indian wire and cable company, has announced its financial results for Q3 of FY-25.

The company mentioned in its investor presentation for Q3 of FY-25 that KEI Industries generated Rs. 993 crore through the sales of Low Tension (LT) cables during the quarter. Sales of House Wires (HW)/Winding Wires (WW) accounted for Rs. 716 crore during Q3 of FY-25. Further, sale of High Tension (HT) cables contributed Rs. 560 crore. The remaining Rs. 198 crore was contributed by the sales of Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable, SS wire, and execution of EPC projects.

On Year-over-Year (YoY) basis, the company’s revenue jumped by 19.81% to Rs. 2,467.27 crore during Q3 of FY-25 from Rs. 2,059.37 crore during Q3 of FY-24. KEI Industries’ Q3 FY-25 PAT increased by 9.38% YoY to Rs. 164.81 crore from Rs. 150.67 crore PAT earned during Q3 of FY-24.

The company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 17.87 during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 16.70 during Q3 of FY-24.
QoQ Results Analysis of KEI Industries Financial Performance: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-25
On Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, KEI Industries revenue increased by 8.23% from Rs. 2,279.65 crore, which was logged for Q2 of FY-25. Following suit, the company’s profit also jumped by 6.46% from Rs. 154.81 crore reported during Q2 of FY-25.
Segment-Wise Revenue Analysis of KEI Industries

Cables & Wires: The company’s revenue from this business segment jumped to Rs. 2,351.75 crore during Q3 of FY-25 from Rs. 1,867.10 crore during Q3 of FY-25. This represents a YoY increase of 25.96% in the company’s segmental revenue.
Total B2B cable and wire sales including exports contributed about 44.82% of the company’s revenue during Q3 of FY-25 against 45.42% in Q3 of FY-24.
In its investor presentation for Q3 FY-25, the company reported that KEI earned Rs. 809 crore from domestic B2B sales during Q3 of FY-25, compared to Rs. 556 crore in Q3 of FY-24. Among these sales, Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable sales reached Rs. 41 crore in Q3 of FY-25, down from Rs. 184 crore in Q3 of FY-24.
Stainless Steel Wire: KEI Industries’ Stainless Steel wire segment quarterly revenue increased by 19.41% to Rs. 55.07 crore during Q3 of FY-25 from Rs. 46.12 crore in Q3 of FY-24.
The company generated Rs. 29 crore from the exports of stainless steel wire during Q3 of FY-25.
EPC Projects: KEI Industries reported a revenue of Rs. 75.90 crore from this segment in third quarter of FY-25. This reflects a YoY decrease of 79.86% from Rs. 376.91 crore, earned by the company from its EPC Projects business during Q3 of FY-24.
Board of Directors Approves Dividend to Shareholders
KEI Industries’ Board of Directors has approved paying a 200% dividend on the face value of each share, which is Rs. 2. This equates to Rs. 4 per equity share. This dividend will be paid out to the shareholders on 27th January 2025.
