KEI Industries Q1 FY-25 Financial Performance: Revenue Up 16%, PAT Jumps 24%

KEI Industries Limited, [NSE: KEI, BOM: 517569], an Indian Wire and Cable Company, has announced its financial results for Q1 of FY-25.
KEI’s Standalone Financial Results for Q1 FY-25
KEI reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 2,060.50 crore during Q1 of FY-25 and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 150.25 crore in first quarter of FY-25.
The company’s Earnings per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 16.65 during Q1 of FY-25.

During Q1 of FY-25, KEI earned revenue of Rs. 2,060.50 crore during Q1 of FY-25, representing a YoY increase of 15.72% from Rs. 1,780.53 crore during Q1 of FY-24.
KEI’s PAT also increased by 23.78% YoY to Rs. 150.25 crore during Q1 of FY-25 from the Rs. 121.38 crore PAT recorded during Q1 of FY-24. KEI Industries’ EPS also increased to Rs. 16.65 during Q1 of FY-25 from Rs. 13.46 in Q1 of FY-24.
QoQ Comparison of KEI’s Financial Numbers: Q1 FY-25 vs. Q4 FY-24
On a Quarter over Quarter (QoQ) basis, the company’s revenue from operations decreased by 11.16% from Rs. 2,319.28 crore revenue clocked during last quarter of FY-24. The company’s PAT also fell by 10.82% from Rs. 168.48 crore PAT recorded during Q4 of FY-24.

Cables & Wires: This segment of the company earned a revenue of Rs. 1,875.66 crore during Q1 of FY-25 against Rs. 1,610.26 crore during Q1 of FY-24. This represents a growth of 16.48% in KEI Industries’ revenue from its Cables & Wires segment.
The company mentioned in its earnings presentation that KEI generated Rs. 574 crore from domestic B2B sales during Q1 of FY-25 against Rs. 493 crore during Q1 of FY-24. Out of this, Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable sales stood at Rs. 79 crore during Q1 of FY-25 against Rs. 49 crore in Q1 of FY-24.
Total B2B cable and wire sales including exports contributed about 38.97% of the company’s revenue during Q1 of FY-25 against 43.80% in Q1 of FY-24.
Mentioning about the sales through Distribution network, the company mentioned that the sales through dealer/distribution network contributed about 52.65% in the overall sales in Q1 of FY-25 against 47.29% contribution in Q1 of FY-24. The company’s total number active dealers in India stood at 2,015 as on 30th June 2024.
Stainless Steel Wire: Stainless Steel Wire segment of KEI Industries bought in a revenue of Rs. 53.76 crore during initial quarter of FY-25, which was YoY down by 8.35% from Rs. 58.66 crore revenue clocked during Q1 of FY-24.
EPC Projects: During Q1 of FY-25, the company reported Rs. 226.08 crore as its revenue from this segment. This is 22.43% higher than the company’s EPC Projects revenue for Q1 of FY-24, which stood at Rs. 184.66 crore.
LT Cable Sales Contribute the Most to KEI’s Revenue
Mentioning its product category-wise revenue breakup, the company mentioned that during Q1 FY-25 KEI Industries generated Rs. 840 crore through the sales Low Tension (LT) cables. Sales of House Wires (HW)/Winding Wires (WW) accounted for Rs. 648 crore during Q1 of FY-25. Further, sale of High Tension (HT) cables contributed Rs. 319 crore. The remaining Rs. 265 crore was contributed by the sales of Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable, SS wire, and execution of EPC projects.
