Kalpataru Projects & Intl. Subsidiaries Win New Orders, Promoter Shareholding Falls

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPIL), reported a Year-To-Date (YTD) order inflow of Rs. 17,300 crore at the close of Q3 of FY-25. The latest addition to this figure were order wins aggregating to Rs. 1,011 crore by KPIL and its international subsidiaries.

In India, KPIL has won orders for residential building projects, and orders in the railway segment. However, KPIL has not specified any further details about these orders.

As for overseas orders, KPIL & its international subsidiaries have secured Transmission & Distribution (T&D) orders in foreign markets.

Kalpataru’s Buildings & Factories (B&F) and Transmission and Distribution (T&D) businesses are the major contributors to the company’s order wins. In the current financial year, these two segments taken together constitute 85% of KPIL’s consolidated YTD order intake.

Mr. Manish Mohnot, MD & CEO of KPIL elaborated, “The T&D business has grown steadily in the last three quarters, while the B&F business has strengthened its leadership with new and repeat orders”.

Interestingly, there has been a noticeable change in Kalpataru’s shareholding pattern during the current financial year. Promoter shareholding has dropped to 35.24% in Q2 of FY-25 from 40.59% during at the end of FY-24. Further, KPIL’s promoter shareholding also showed a slight decrease to 33.52% during Q3 of FY-25. On the other hand, shareholding of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) in the company increased to 12.40% in December 2024 from 8.17% during March 2024.
