JSW Neo Energy to Develop 300 MW Solar Power at Khavda RE Park

JSW Neo Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has been awarded a Letter of Intent (LoI) by Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. (GUVNL) to develop 300 MW grid-connected solar power generation capacity at Khavda, Gujarat. This information was shared by JSW Energy in a stock exchange filing dated 14th March 2024, however, the number of projects to be established was not mentioned.

The company has secured this LoI through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) under GUVNL’s bid invitation for establishing a total of 1,125 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) Park.

With this recent order win, the company’s portfolio comprises about 12 GW of locked-in RE capacity, which includes 7.2 GW of operational projects, 2.6 GW of projects under construction, and 2.2 GW of projects for which Letters of Award (LoAs) have been signed. These projects cover solar, wind, thermal, and hydro power segments.
