J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. has won orders for the construction of Chennai Port – Maduravoyal expressway’s packages 1 and 4. The company has secured these orders from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) under Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP) program.
Scope of work in package 1 includes the construction of a 4.262 Km stretch of highway from Chennai Port to Thousand Lights East. Total cost for development of this package is 915 crore. The second package won by the company, namely package 4, entails construction of a 6.038 Km span of highway from Koyambedu to Maduravoyal at a cost of Rs. 775 crore.
NHAI had invited bids for this project in July 2022 with a completion period of 910 days.
