Indian Railways to Modernise 49 Stations Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme
In South East Central Railway (SECR) zone, 49 railway stations will be renovated and modernized under Ministry of Railways’ (MoR) Amrit Bharat Station scheme. Out of these 49 stations, 30 stations are in Chattisgarh, 9 are in Madhya Pradesh, 8 are in Maharashtra and 2 are located in Odisha.
Scope of work includes widening of roads adjacent to the stations and renovation or modernisation of existing station infrastructure. Facilities at these stations will be overhauled, which will include the installation of WiFi, development of information systems, and other facilities.
A total of 1,275 railway stations will be revamped under Amrit Bharat Station scheme.
