Indian Cable & Wire Manufacturers Come Together at Cable & Wire Fair 2025

Sixth edition of Cable & Wire Fair (CWF) 2025 was held from 4th to 6th November 2025 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The event witnessed the participation of more than 500 exhibitors, which included cable manufacturers, cable machinery producers, and cable die manufacturers. The tradeshow offered a platform for industry stakeholders to display innovations, network, and explore new business opportunities.

Inauguration of Cable and Wire Fair 2025

The inauguration ceremony of Cable & Wire Fair 2025 took place on 4th November 2025. The event was inaugurated by leading figures from the Indian cable and wire industry, Mr. Anil Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of KEI Industries; Mr. Shreegopal Kabra, Chief Mentor and Co-founder of RR Kabel Ltd; Mr. Nirmal Saraf, Managing Director of Nirmal Group; Mr. Bhushan Sawhney, Chief Revenue Officer of Aditya Birla Group; and Mr. Jaswinder Singh, Managing Director of Supermac Industries.

Diamond Power Showcases its Product Portfolio

DICABS at Cable & Wire Fair 2025

Gujarat-based Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DIACABS) showcased its range of High-Voltage (HV) cables with capacities from 3.3 KV to 33 KV, along with ‘high-performance’ conductors. Speaking with CableCommunity, DICABS’ representatives at their stall shared that the company currently operates eight production lines that use the Catenary Continuous Vulcanization (CCV) method for cable manufacturing. He further added that within the next two to three months, the company plans to add 2 additional CCV lines to increase its production capacity.

The CCV method is a specialized process used for cross-linking insulation materials on power cables. It involves extruding the insulation layers in a precise, continuous, and curved (catenary) path while simultaneously heating and cross-linking the material.

Representatives at the company’s stall also spoke about the start of commercial production at its second Aluminium rod mill in Vadodara as a step towards backward integration. This facility started commercial production in October 2025, and manufactures Al-59 wire rods.

Bansal Wire Industries: Product Range and New Developments

Bansal Wire Industries Limited, a major manufacturer of Stainless Steel (SS) wires, showcased a variety of products at Cable & Wire Fair 2025, including brass-coated wires, Induction Hardened and Tempered (IHT) wires, and steel tire cords. Out of these, IHT wires were launched by the company in October 2025, designed specifically for the automotive industry, especially 2-wheeler segment (EVs as well as conventional). Currently, Bansal Wire’s annual IHT wire production capacity sits at 9,000 tonne. This addition is expected to help Bansal Wire strengthen its position in the specialized wire segment.

During a conversation with CableCommunity, Mr. Rakesh Malhotra, President (Sales & Marketing) at Bansal Wire, shared that the company has been carrying out commercial production of specialty wires at its Dadri plant for the past year. These products include bead wire, hose wire, and Steel tire cord.

The company’s Dadri plant also underwent expansion in April 2025, enhancing its manufacturing capacity to 3.6 lakh Metric Tonne Per Annum (MTPA) from the earlier 2.2 lakh MTPA.

Surya Roshni’s Recent Entry into Wire Production

Surya Roshni Limited, an Indian multinational company headquartered in Delhi, recently entered wire manufacturing, and had officially inaugurated its new wires and cables manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh in October 2025. At Cable & Wire Fair 2025, the company showcased its Turbo Flex wire range, designed for 1,100 Volts (1.1 KV). This product range had been launched earlier in August 2025.

Speaking with CableCommunity, Mr. Gaurav Bhatnagar, DGM of the company, mentioned that Surya Roshni plans to expand into cable manufacturing within the next two years.

Asian Cables’ Product Offerings and Expansion Plans

Asian Cables, a division of KEC International, displayed a diverse product range at the fair, including Copper telecom cables, power cables, railway cables, Aluminium conductors, and Optical Fibre Cables (OFCs).

Asian Cables also shared its plans to establish a greenfield plant for E-beam and rubber cables, which is expected to become operational by March 2026. The company currently operates two major manufacturing facilities, one in Vadodara, Gujarat, and the other in Mysore, Karnataka. The Vadodara facility serves as the primary hub for products like LT, HT, EHV, and railway cables, while the Mysore plant caters to the southern market with LT and telecom products, including optical fiber cables.

Fort Gloster Ready to Bounce Back – Company Rep.

While speaking with CableCommunity, Mr. Swastik Talukdar, Deputy Manager at Fort Gloster Industries (FGI), shared that the company is ready to regain its former stature in the Indian Cable & Wire industry. He said this in light of the fact that FGI resumed operations after a gap of 2 decades in July 2023.

The company showcased its range of High Tension (HT) power cables, Low Tension (LT) power cables, control cables, and flexible wires at the fair. Mr. Talukdar, also told CableCommunity that Fort Gloster is currently not targeting the Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable segment. However, the company plans to begin manufacturing Medium Voltage Covered Conductors (MVCC) within a year.

Discussing capital expenditure, Mr. Talukdar stated that Fort Gloster has allocated Rs. 600 crore for FY26, of which Rs. 400 crore has already been invested. This investment has primarily gone towards acquisition of machinery. He also shared that the company is planning to roll out Renewable Energy (RE) project cables, including solar DC cables, which are expected to be manufactured by FY27.

Absence of Players Like Polycab, KEI & Havells

Despite being one of the largest gatherings in the wire and cable industry, Cable & Wire Fair 2025 saw the absence of several major players such as KEI Industries, Havells India, and Polycab India. KEI was the registration partner for the event, but did not have its stall at the tradeshow.

Next Edition of the Fair in November 2027

The next (7th) edition of the Cable & Wire Fair is expected to be held in New Delhi, India, at the Pragati Maidan complex, likely in November 2027.

Cable & Wire Fair 2025 underscored India’s innovation in the wire and cable sector. With over 500 exhibitors showcasing advanced technologies, new product launches, and expansion plans, the event proved to be a vital hub for collaboration, business growth, and the future of India’s cable industry.
